Welcome to our Beaver's page, we hope you have fun reading it and if you would like to join us as a Beaver or Beaver leader please do not hesitate to contact the Group Scout Leader (details on home page).

The beavers are the youngest section of the Group and start Scouting at the age of 6yrs old. Beavers uniform are a distinctive turquoise sweatshirt and like the Cubs and Scouts wear a scarf and a coloured woggle. The Beaver sweatshirt is available from Craftabilty or the National School Wear shops in Ipswich.

The Beaver group is called a Colony meeting is structured to learning while playing, and each challenge and adventure helps the child to develop their life skills. We follow a programme, which is divided into the following sections:

Outdoor and Adventure;

Global;

Community;

Fit for Life;

Creative;

Beliefs and Attitudes.

They have lots of fun doing different activities, which include making things, going on visits, making friends, doing badges and going away for a night on a sleepover. As well as working towards badges and awards. We hold joint night with our Cub Pack each term and take part in the annual St George’s day parade in the town centre.

We meet on a Tuesday night (term times) from 6.30pm until 7.45pm.

The Beavers pay subs once they have been enrolled and this is £25 per term, payable at the beginning of each school term.

Yes. We run a parent rota and do ask parents from time to time to assist in evenings that require close adult supervision.  We do ask that all parents complete the CRB form, so you can rest assured that any adult assisting us has been cleared through the Criminal Records Bureau for being in contact with children. As well as this, the group runs a variety of fun actives for all the family including BBQ’s, quiz nights and our annual Carol concert.
